Hi there - it's been a long time since we've connected. A lot has happened over the past year, and I am excited to share updates to Inclusion Unpacked with you!
Inclusion Unpacked began as a newsletter. At its origin, my goal was to help each of you understand topics that surrounded DEI and then walk away with tangible tools that you can use in your everyday life. Many of you sent emails or DMs thanking me for these efforts, and I appreciate your kind words.
It's time to expand this community to have more of an impact. As a true community leader, I knew we needed to do more than send tips or shareable content. There is a ton of noise on the internet, and I was fearful of Inclusion Unpacked being categorized in the "diversity influencer" bucket.
So I went away for a while, enrolled in an MBA program at Columbia University, and worked to craft a sustainable business model for this community that we've built.
This email is terrifying and exciting to write because it means that I'm saying things will be different. However, I have landed on something that I believe is transformative and magical.
Where We Are Now:
Inclusion Unpacked is the only online membership community for leaders committed to building inclusive, equitable companies. We are a membership platform for professionals to consistently learn about DEI from industry experts, no matter your career stage. This newsletter will continue to exist for tangible tips and takeaways.
Moving Forward: This summer, you will see significant changes to the Inclusion Unpacked website and social media pages, we will share more about our membership offerings (soon!), and I welcome you to join in any way you wish.
This change is exciting! We are evolving into a new organization, one that is rooted in community and consistency.
